Spent about 6 hours looking at review of different juicers on amazing, and then suddenly I remembered that I had my buchymix blender and it's been really amazing - so I decided to get a juicer as well. Received it 2 days ago and my friend kept disturbing me to use it so she could decide whether or not to buy. So I went to a farmer's market nearby and got watermelon, apples, celery and orange. I made a mix of watermelon and orange, then apple and celery.
Now to how the juicer performed - it performed exceedingly well! I was surprised by how much juice I got out of it. Also, the shaft was pretty dry! There was no loss of fruit or juice. I have never owned a slow, cold press juicer so this is a really exciting purchase for me. Also, don't let the slow in its name fool you. It actually is pretty fast! I was done with 12 bottles in less than 40 mins (inclusive of wash and prep time).
You can throw in whole fruits but I preferred to help the machine by chopping into smaller bits. For stuff like celery, chopping as small as possible would really help the machine take out the long fibrous stems. Made the mistake of not chopping small enough and it took longer than it should have.
For machine set up - I honestly didn't really read the manual for set up. I just winged it and it went well. I'm looking forward to making sorbets soon though so I may have to check which of the filters to use from the manual.
The orange juice set up was also pretty easy. It was so fast I was happy about the outcome of everything.
Machine parts and extra - it came with 3 filter sizes and 2 cute buchymix shaker bottles. (I have one from my blender so I'm not sure I have use for them but they could be great gifts to give people fresh juice in).
Overall, this product exceeded my expectations and I'm very happy with my purchase.
If you were thinking about whether or not the reviews are truthful, take my word for it. I'm a certified Google reviewer and I'm always VERY HAPPY to give reviews and say things as they are - good or ****.
I say this one is good, but I'm not surprised because Buchymix has always been known for excellence.
For now everything is great, but if I run into any issues in the future, I would be sure to update my review and how my experience with their support services goes. (I hope I never have to lol 😂).
